There’s something going on under a house in Stratford this spring. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust are organising an archeological dig, underneath New Place, Shakespeare’s final home. Who knows what they might find there? If you’re curious then you can take part and find out. Why not start by visiting our lovingly-crafted website. Watch some videos or get digging yourself in the Dig for Shakespeare Quest.

The beginning of February sees a new site launch here at Made, for Bright PR, an award-winning PR and marketing consultancy who are celebrating 10 years in business this year.

British Dance Edition 2010 is a four day biennial showcasing the best UK dance artists and companies. It’s a curated programme of performances, events, presentations and debates, brought together to showcase the British dance scene, and we’ve been asked to design and build the fantastic website for it, which has just launched this week.
It’s taking place across a variety of Birmingham venues in the New Year, with a number of public events too, so be sure to get your dancing shoes on and get involved!

We’ve just launched the Meet Birmingham website for the Birmingham Convention Bureau, part of Marketing Birmingham who promote the city as a conference venue for event planners, and can help with things from finding the right venue, to booking hotels, arranging delegate dinner reservations and more.

Today sees another new site launch after last weeks’ roll out of the new Tindal Street website.
This time round it’s for English Touring Opera, who celebrate 30 years of prestigious opera output this year.
To tie in with their anniversary, we’ve produced a fantastic website that succeeds in illustrating their vibrant, creative performances online and encourages site visitors to get involved with the organisation on all levels of engagement.
Take a look at the site: we promise you won’t need your opera glasses to see that it’s belissimo!

Blimey, it’s another new Made website this week!
We’ve just launched the new site for Tindal Street Press, the award-winning publisher that puts out the best contemporary fiction from the finest literary talent across the region.
They’re one of the smallest publishers to reach the Man Booker shortlist: consistently punching above their weight with a multitude of gong wins, and are a lovely bunch to work with!
Congratulations to them, too, as 2009 sees them celebrate 10 years in business.
The website’s chocka with great content, nifty social media stuff, all wrapped up in a top-notch design and powered by our Backstage CMS.
Happy birthday Tindal Street. Here’s to the next 10 years…

It’s another fantastic new site launch here at Made: we’ve been working with Marketing Birmingham to help promote Birmingham’s bid as a host city for the World Cup 2018, through development of an official website which features an interactive ‘One Kick for Birmingham’ Flash element.
The public are invited to get involved by filming their own fancy football footwork and uploading it to the site, where they will be streamed continuously to create a never-ending chain of kicks in support of Birmingham’s bid.
Check out the site, then get involved and upload footage of your own skills to it, in support of bringing the World Cup to this fine, fine city. We’re backing this 100% as Birmingham needs more of this kind of thing coming to town!

We’re continuing to work on some great digital projects for Warwick Arts Centre, having just launched a number of new screens around the popular arts venue in response to a brief that’s seen us look at modernising the delivery of programme information, for visitors, internally.
The screens run a Flash movie that we’ve designed in-keeping with the arts centre branding (and our recent website redevelopment, of course!), powered by a behind-the-scenes computer system. The Flash movie pulls in content directly from warwickartscentre.co.uk in a continuous feed.
It’s a fantastic example of how the web can permeate the real world in a relevant, practical way. Coupled with the new website, there’s now no excuse not to know what’s on at WAC!

We’ve just updated BCMG’s website to bring it inline with their new brand. You have never seen so many social media widgets in one place. Hope you like it!

We’ve been busy extending the Visit Birmingham website with three new, comprehensive features; What’s On, Maps and Directories. Restaurants, Hotels, Gigs, Exhibitions, they’re all in there and geo-tagged too.
It’s been a complex job, mashing up events-data from Global Data Point with organisation data from Marketing Birmingham’s Microsoft CRM system and Google Maps. It’s all pulled together via our own content management system Backstage.
Take a look. There’s a huge amount on. We hope you’ll feel encouraged to visit Birmingham.
